The Autumn-Winter 1995 collection theme was the Rokumeikan, a famous hall in Tokyo which became a controversial symbol of Westernisation during the Meiji period. Yohji designed graphic shirts, sweaters, coats and vests that memorialized the parties that took place inside the hall, where many high-ranking Japanese people were introduced to Western manners for the first time.
